Talking about the Lord's handiwork and consent changes, I was reading an article in the Woman's Day (Dated Nov. 1,2001) today entitled "When Things Don't Go As Planned". In this short article, Psychiatrist Gail Saltz, MD, lists three important steps to help us bounce back when things don't go as planned...
- Allow yourself to be upset: She goes on to say that even though people may tell you "just to get over it", we should take the time to acknowledge and express the feelings. But don't let it go on for so long that you become depressed.
- Rewrite negative thoughts: She says that it is absolutely normal to have negative thought but we should learn how to rewrite them to built confidence and self-acceptance. Instead of focusing in the things in your life and has gone wrong, try focusing on all the things that has gone right.
- Regroup and make a plan of action: She states that you should new and new goal, and it should include setting smaller, doable goals that help us achieveand take control over the situation, this helps to build confidence
